What’s In Shrinking Solution – An Overview

What’s In Shrinking Solution?

“What’s in Shrinking Solution?” is the latest DVD from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This movie franchise from J.K. Rowling continues the epic story begun in the third book, “The Chamber of Secrets.” Now the adventure continues with a second half of the story, “When Harry Met Sally.”

What’s in Shrinking Solution?

The Shrinking Solution, also known by the Shrinking Potion is a potion that causes the drinker’s body to shrink to a smaller size. If it is not brewed properly, it can be bright green.

This potion can be used to transport livestock. It allows a wizard the ability to carry an entire herd in his pocket.

What’s In Shrinking Solution – An Overview:

 Shrinking Solution

The third chapter of the third book starts with the accidental discovery of a mysterious bottle of what is in shrinking solution in the Diagon Alley. The proprietor of the Gringotts Bank is dying of old age and wishes to leave his earthly possessions to his son.

But just before he leaves he gives Harry a priceless piece of his wisdom, an ancient Necronomicon, a text written by a woman with the name Narcissa Burkes.

The story is that this piece of parchment came with the intent of making Harry Potter an heir of the Burkes family and using it to control the world. What’s in Shrinking Solution is the first of three movies based around the Necronomicon.

The second half of what’s in shrinking solution:

It involves a group of teenage-aged wizards. They stumble upon the infamous “bat caves,” enormous underground tunnels where giant bats roost. When they arrive there they learn that the bats are protecting a stash of what’s in shrinking solution, a powerful chemical that the bats use to make themselves bigger.

When the Sorting Hat asks them what they plan to do with the chemical, one of them says, “We’re going to use it to make us go away.” The rest of the team arrives and they help the boy who has the information retrieve the chemical for what’s in the shrinking solution.

But when the Sorting Hat accidentally drops the chemical on the ground, transforming it into what’s in shrinking solution, the other four students discover what’s in shrinking solution and use it to their advantage.

What do I like Most?

I love what they do with the chemicals. There are ingredients like – Minced daisy roots, Peeled Shrivelfig, Sliced caterpillars, One rat spleen, A dash of leech juice, A splash of cowbane, and Wormwood. These are common kitchen ingredients that you might be able to find at your local grocer. But what the author does is take these ingredients and mix them together in what’s in shrinking solution. What’s in the “bat caves” was more than what we would normally expect, it was downright delectable.

The author, Holly Hayden, did a good job of describing each ingredient, but the recipes themselves were not really that unique or tasty. I suppose if she had written the book as a stand-alone book with no storyline, then she could add her own key ingredients and spices to give it a little flavor.

She provides detailed directions with a list of what’s in the ingredients and a list of what’s needed. I think the next step will be for her to create a recipe book of the many wonderful recipes she has created using these recipes as well as the in-ground bat spleens she uses.

What is ground bat spleens?

The in-ground bat spleens are a natural powdered flower ground from the dried flowers of a large variety of bats native to North America. They have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

The what’s in shrinking solution was designed to use this as one of its key ingredients along with several other herbs to make a fast cure for what’s in pain.

I’m looking forward to trying the “bat cactus remedy”. I’ll also be looking forward to trying the other ingredients in the book.

Last Ingredients in What’s In Shrinking Solution?

The last two ingredients in what’s in shrinking solution that I am looking forward to trying are Boomslang leaves and Bat Bulb powder. The Boomslang leaf has been used to alleviate gastrointestinal problems and stomach issues for hundreds of years. And now, some scientists are even trying to patent the ingredient.

It is my understanding though that the primary ingredients in any liquid potion must have a ” synergistic relationship” with each other in order to be considered a valid healing recipe and not just a drink that someone claims are a “cure all” or “natural fountain of youth”.

What’s in shrinking solution isn’t a cure-all. However, it is a very pleasant tea that I would gladly share with others if they ask me to. The key ingredients in this product are Boomslang, Bat Bulb, and the natural botanical oils, Rosemary and Lavender.
